The Return

I went to a Beatles imitation concert with my dad today.  I thought it was going to kinda suck (and for the first couple of hours, it did) but then the main attraction, The Return started playing. These guys are amazing. You think of impersonators and laugh because they’re usually lame. These guys look, act, speak, sound and sing exactly like the Beatles. Being a Beatles fan, mostly because my father’s been one since he was 10, I know what they sound like, how they dressed and how they even moved and held their instruments. These guys are the real deal. I really enjoyed myself. I also got the opportunity to take some photos while I was there. Concert Photography is hard!! Of the 200odd photos I took, only these three turned out. Still good photos. The lighting was perfect so it completely blended out the background, making these tight images with lots of black space. They come every year. I’ll be back again next year for sure.

Also on my mind, is revamping my photoblog inside and out. I kinda like it right now but I’ve been looking at people’s pixelpost blogs again and they’ve become really amazing. I think I’m going to go back to pixelpost, even though I’ve had problems with it in the past before for a couple of reasons.

1. I don’t care anymore if I have the huge 1920 x 1200 picture available to the public. As far as I can see, nobody actually downloads it much, and I’m getting decent enough at photography to worry about image theft. A reasonable 800 or 900 wide pixel image should be fine for everyone.

2. This opens up the opportunity for me to have a seperate wallpaper portion of my website. I can do it right this time, with resolutions and using ONLY the pictures I think are good enough to be wallpapers. Right now, -every- picture I take is available in wallpaper resolution when some are clearly not going to be good wallpapers.

That’s it really. Look for something sweet and new before the end of next week (when school kicks in and I don’t have much time for all this fun stuff).
