I was browsing my usual array of news sites and came across our new five dollar bill! It’s quite a bit more purple/pink than I’m used to seeing on American currency but maybe it’s time the US caught up to the foreign gaiety standard for money colors. :) Why anyone would want to change the bill from this awesome design that we once had is past me:

When I was trying to edit these images in Photoshop to prep them for posting, I pasted in our new #5 from a web screengrab and got this:
Seriously, how badass is that? It recognized the image from a crusty flash screencap and these bills aren’t even out yet…!!!!
Go US Government! :)
